This school year marks the largest enrollment in the history of the Guadalupe Center’s Early Childhood Education Program.  Through grant funding provided by Collier County Housing, Human & Veteran Services and the Naples Children and Education Foundation, the Center is proud to announce the opening of its final two early childhood classrooms which has allowed us to reach out to more disadvantaged children in need.

The Center, whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education, is now serving a record 250 students in a total of 18 quality childcare classes.  We are the leading school (public or private) in test scores for five-year old children entering kindergarten in Immokalee.  Our goal is to provide these children with a strong educational foundation in which to learn upon and grow.  As an industry leader, we are working hard to maintain our quality while developing new strategies to help children overcome their hardships.  “With our intervention, we hope to see these children grow up to become responsible, self-sustaining adults within the community,” says Lisa Morse, Director of Development.
